E8106 error
Base locale file missing
- area
- stdlib (x8xxx)
- fails the build
- yes
The package imports wowlua:locale, but the base locale's file is missing. The
base locale (enUS by default) defines the keys, and its strings are used
wherever a translation lacks a key. Add locales/enUS.json, or set
build.locale-base to the locale your strings are written in.
Example
{ "TITLE": "Kill-Tracker" }import L from "wowlua:locale"print(L){ "TITLE": "Kill Tracker" }{ "TITLE": "Kill-Tracker" }import L from "wowlua:locale"print(L.TITLE)The compiler reports it like this:
error[E8106]: the base locale `locales/enUS.json` is missing = in locales = help: it defines the keys; `build.locale-base` names another base
